Stranger Things Maze (Prototype)

A fan-made arcade maze game inspired by the world of Stranger Things.

Step into Hawkins as Eleven and navigate a maze filled with danger. Your mission is simple: collect every Eggo before time runs out while avoiding the Demogorgons hunting you through the streets.

Although inspired by classic maze arcade games, this project introduces its own mechanics, pacing and progression while celebrating one of my favourite TV series.

Current Features

• Play as Eleven in a fast-paced maze adventure.
• Collect Eggos to complete each level.
• Avoid intelligent Demogorgons that patrol before switching into pursuit.
• Find Mike to gain superpowers to defeat the demogorgons.
• Beat the timer to progress.
• Multiple handcrafted levels with increasing difficulty.
• Score system based on your remaining time and lives.

How to Play

• Arrow Keys – Move Eleven.
• Collect every Eggo in the maze.
• Avoid Demogorgons—being caught costs one life.
• Pick up Mike to protect Eleven - hit a Demogorgon and pause them in their tracks.
• Finish the level before the timer reaches zero.
• Complete all levels to achieve the highest possible score.

This is a Prototype

This game is currently in active development. The version you're playing is an early prototype designed to test the gameplay, mechanics and overall fun factor before expanding the project further.

I'm particularly interested in hearing:

• Is the game enjoyable?
• Does the difficulty feel fair?
• Are the controls responsive?
• What features or mechanics would you add?
• Would you like to see this become a larger game?

Every comment, suggestion and bug report genuinely helps shape the direction of the project.

If people enjoy the core gameplay, I plan to expand it with additional levels, new enemies, power-ups, boss encounters, improved visuals, sound design, and more original mechanics while keeping the fast arcade feel.
